Wok with Yan

Wok with Yan was a Chinese cuisine cooking show starring Stephen Yan. The show was first produced in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada by the CBC at CBUT from 1980 to 1982. A second edition of the show was also produced in the early 1990s. The popular series was syndicated internationally in United States, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore for years. The humorous aprons also complemented his humour that consisted of spontaneous one-liners spoken with his trademark Cantonese accent or him playing with his food or cookware. That, combined with his energetic personality, endeared him to Canadian viewers. Prior to him preparing his stir fry cuisine, the show usually featured a vignette of Yan travelling to different vacation spots from around the world. He always invited an audience member to come up and eat with him near the end of each episode, and had a fortune cookie reading before the meal.

Born in a cooking family, Cai Cai, the heroine, becomes a member of the third class and meets Liao Yingzi, a “poisonous” gourmet tutor, by a strange chance. She meets Liao Yingzi, a “poisonous” gourmet tutor. Although Liao Yingzi is a harsh critic, he makes her improve without her realizing it, and she hates and admires him at the same time. Liu Angxing, the son of Liu Feng, a famous chef in the Bright World, lives in Juxialou in Shushan. His dream is to participate in the Empire's Dragon Chef Competition. At this time, the world's culinary world is divided into two factions, the Bright World and the Dark World. After Kai You, the leader of the Dark World, used a trick to obtain the position of Dragon Chef, he began to encroach on the territory of the Bright World, and Juxialou was not spared. Pawn Stars UK is a British reality television series which debuted on 26 August 2013. The series is filmed in the Chester, Sealand, United Kingdom, and chronicles the day-to-day activities of pawn shop Regal Pawn, collaboratively run by Mark Andrew Manning, Mark Lever Holland, Mark Peter Holland, Simon Penworth, and Victoria Manning. A spin-off of the prominent American reality television series Pawn Stars, the show's format is similar to the latter show, as it features an array of collectible, antique and unusual items that people sell or pawn.
