MatPat of The Game Theorists Youtube channel puts game mechanics to the test in real life with the help of experts alongside fellow Youtubers. After some training, they compete to see who can conquer the game's challenges.

Immersion

Immersion is an ongoing American Rooster Teeth Live action production Sci-Fi Comedy TV Web series by Rooster Teeth Productions about how well video gaming material works in real life. During each episode, several Rooster Teeth staff members try to recreate the elements of popular video games to see weather or not and how well the video game material indeed works in real life. Like the show Mythbusters, Rooster Teeth takes all sorts of video game conventions, ideas, abilities and tests them in real life on real people.

Donkey Kong Country

Taking place on Kongo Bongo Island, the show focuses on Donkey Kong, the island's resident hero. Before the series' events, he was chosen as the island's future ruler by a magical artifact known as the Crystal Coconut, which is connected to a spirit known as Inka Dinka Doo. In the present, Donkey Kong must prove he deserves the role through his heroics and by simply guarding the coconut. Alongside various allies such as his best friend and sidekick Diddy Kong and his mentor Cranky Kong, he must protect the Crystal Coconut from various threats, most notably the villainous King K. Rool and his Kremling army who long to steal it in order to rule Kongo Bongo. Oftentimes, Donkey Kong has to juggle his guardian duties with his social life, his relationship with Candy Kong, and his love of gorging on bananas.

Filmed in five cities over a six month period, each episode pairs two indie developers together for 48 hours and challenges them to create a game based on a theme suggested by their peers. The series examines the creative process, technical skill, and friendships that form through a game jam event on a more personal and intimate level. Super Game Jam spans five episodes, each of which includes one of the five games - exploring intimate topics, abstract themes or complete madness.

Created and executive produced by host Victor Lucas, and his Vancouver, British Columbia production company Greedy Productions Ltd, EP Daily has been a staple on airwaves since its debut in September 1997.

Spyder Games

Spyder Games is a television series that was broadcast on MTV from June 18, 2001 through September 20, 2001. MTV's second foray into the soap opera format following the run of the anthology series Undressed, the series was originally called Spyder Web in development. Originally intended for a 3 pm time slot, Spyder Games ultimately debuted at 7 pm because of its racy content. The final episodes, originally scheduled to air during the week of 10 September 2001, were postponed by a week because of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The last episode was written as cliffhanger, but MTV did not pick the series up for a second season.

GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley is a television show about video games hosted by video game journalist Geoff Keighley. Originally titled Game Head, on January 25, 2008, the show relaunched under its current name with a slightly different format and further incorporation of GameTrailers hosts, Amanda MacKay and Daniel Kayser. The series airs Friday nights at different times at 12am, 12:30am, 1am, and 1:30am Eastern Time on Spike TV in the U.S. and Canada.
