The Vacant Lot

The Vacant Lot was a short-lived comedy sketch show which CBC Television ran for only six episodes starting in December 1993. The Vacant Lot was extended for another 13 episodes, but the CBC later changed their minds and the remaining 13 episodes, although scripted, were never taped. CBC sold the show to Comedy Central, which didn't air the episodes until July 1994. The Vacant Lot was shown for a 4 July marathon on that network. Nick McKinney, a member of The Vacant Lot, is the brother of The Kids in the Hall member and Saturday Night Live veteran Mark McKinney. The show's other cast members were Rob Gfrorer, Vito Viscomi and Paul Greenberg. The Vacant Lot's opening theme music was "Pretty Vacant" by The Sex Pistols.

Kombat Opera Presents is a BBC2 comedy show. The comedy parodies British television programmes by transforming them into operas. The music for the series was written by Richard Thomas, with the series having its origins in the Kombat Opera segments of Simon Munnery's character The League Against Tedium, and his television show Attention Scum. The series won the Best Comedy prize at the 2008 Rose d'Or ceremony.

The series is based on programming funded by SBS in Australia and by a French production company, this series in Ireland has been repackaged for an Irish audience. The etymology of the name comes from fíor, meaning "true" and scéal meaning "story". The audio is spoken in the Irish language and any applicable native languages and there are subtitles in English. Among the presenters are Maolra Mac Donnchadha and Alex Hijmans. Programmes typically run for 60 minutes.

Saint Tail is a phantom thief magical girl manga and anime series. Originally a twenty-four part manga by Megumi Tachikawa, the story was adapted into an anime television series by producer Tokyo Movie Shinsha, with forty-three episodes and one short, broadcast by ABC. Tokyopop translated the manga series, and subtitled and partially dubbed the anime series. Video Games were released for the Sega Saturn and Sega Game Gear in Japan, and are considered collectors items by Saint Tail fans. The Tokyopop book summary states that it is "Robin Hood meets Sailor Moon!"
