Dig and Dug was a stop motion animated television series produced in the United Kingdom during 1993 by Dorling Kindersley. There are 20 ten-minute episodes and the characters were created and the stories written by writer Richard Everett. The series was aired by Channel 4 in 1994. It aired on children's channels like CITV from 1995 to 1997. It was about two bumbling construction workers, who were given a task to accomplish over a 5-minute short. Aside from using segments much-like Laurel and Hardy shorts, the show also taught children about construction. The show was narrated by George Layton.

An unlikely friendship develops between the Emperor, Xiao Longxia and Bai Yu Fei, each pretending to the others to be someone else. The fact that Haruhara Haruko crashes into the main character with her Vespa a short while later and subsequently hits him over the head with her Rickenbacker 4003 bass guitar doesn’t really make any difference to any other day here. The at first glance unconnected, bizarre events that don’t seem to follow any pattern whatsoever don’t change anything about Naota’s boring life, either – because nothing incredible ever happens in this town.
