The Limited Bird

John's first independent work from 1989. Won Best of Fest Shorts at the Cinequest Film Festival, CA. The film is comprised of highly rendered drawings with very little moving parts to tell a complex story of relationships "gone to the birds".

I Saw the Future

In a dark expanse that could be the cosmos, we hear the voice of Arthur C. Clarke, whose face - taken from a BBC archive dating back to the 1960s - appears in the distance. His features quickly dematerialize into a multitude of shimmering pixels, creating an enveloping and immersive space out of which the thoughts of the famed author of «2001: A Space Odyssey» emerge. At the heart of this spectral environment, and with a magnetic voice sending us back to the time of cathode ray tubes and the golden age of television broadcasting, A C. Clarke tells us about the arrival of digital revolution, decades ahead of his time. This film is an invitation to travel, and a crepuscular form of poetry to be experienced immersively.

Dear Janice

GCW Fight Club 2022 Night 1

Fight Club was a two-day professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event promoted by Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) that was held on October 8 and 9, 2022. Both nights of the event were held in Atlantic City, New Jersey; night 1 of the event took place at the Garden Pier at the Showboat while night 2 was held inside Showboat Hotel itself. While Kanca is trying to resolve the situation, Turabi, the ex-boyfriend of Rencide's daughter Zeliş, also gets involved. When Turabi kidnaps Rencide to marry Zeliş, whom he is obsessively in love with, the situation escalates. Of course, it is Sabit Kanca's responsibility to resolve the situation.

Reflection is a short film that reflects how others see us in relation to who we actually are, and that nobody is or ever will be perfect in others' eyes. As Lamis closes her eyes she realizes that everything that happens in her head isn't true, and that she shouldn't compare herself to other people, and not everything we see is the truth.

And Still I Believe

Originally called World '68, later retitled The World of Today Romm’s film was conceived as an impassioned, large-scale essay on the origins of the 20th century and the subsequent reality the disappointed director felt slipping away from him. The film itself slipped away from him and was left unfinished at the time of his death. His younger colleagues, Marlen Khutsiev, Elem Klimov and German Lavrov, completed the film from the elements he left behind in addition to segments from Ordinary Fascism, closing the film with Romm’s ultimately optimistic outlook: "And still I believe that man is sensible..."
