Red the Half Breed

He decides to go back to find and punish the killer.

The Song of the Tree

Loggers

The life and work of Asko and Myrsky in a snowy forest. Asko is a man, Myrsky (Storm) is a horse. During wintertime they make their living working as loggers in the small suburbian forests of the metropolitan area. The work is hard and the days are long. "The man and his horse only have each other for company. Loggers is a film about collaboration between man and animal, and about nearly extinct traditional work set in the 21st century landscape. But above all it is the filmmaker's tribute to steaming testosterone in the freezing cold air.

64: Part 2

1989: 64th and last year of the Showa era. A girl is kidnapped and killed. The unsolved case is called Case 64 ('rokuyon'). 2002: Yoshinobu Mikami, who was the detective in charge of the Case 64, moves as a Public Relations Officer in the Police Affairs Department. His relation with the reporters is conflicted and his own daughter is missing. The statute of limitations for the Case 64 will expire in one year. Then a kidnapping case, similar to the Case 64, takes place. The rift between the criminal investigation department and police administration department deepens. Mikami challenges the case as a public relations secretary.

Project Alien

In Norway a military plane crashes under mysterious circumstances: in his last message the pilot reported many lights falling from the sky. NATO wants to play down the incident, but the famous TV moderator George Abbot and the no less persistent journalist Milker sense a sensational story about UFOs and start snooping around in the area with help of pilot "Bird" McNamara. Inspired by the suspiciously rigorous isolation of the whole area around the crash point and cases of an unknown disease they have a closer look at the military's activities...

Oru Oorla

Unwanted by the other members of his family, Theri, a scrap yard worker, turns an alcoholic after the death of his mother. However, his life undergoes a sea change after his sister-in-law delivers a girl child. He turns a new leaf, the reason for his transformation being his belief that his mother has reborn as his niece. He promptly assumes the responsibility of protecting and providing for the child. It is under these circumstances that his brother ends up having a fight with a sex worker. The spat turns ugly and results in a tragedy...

Clipped Wings

Mickey Lofton, young half-brother of famed war-aviator Jerry, fails in his attempt to enter the Canadian Air Corps, because of his fear of thunderstorms developed by an incident in his boyhood days. Jerry, now a Captain in the U.S. Department of Justice, is given an assignment to capture some border oil smugglers. Through his friendship with Raoul McGuire, one of the suspects, Jerry is accepted as a member of the gang. Mickey is in love with Raoul's sister, Molly. Gang leader Moran shoots and wounds Raoul, and is himself shot down by Jerry. Mickey flies Molly and her wounded brother to a hospital. Jerry takes off in another plane to guard Mickey's craft from a pursuing airplane, and crashes his plane into the gangster's plane but parachutes to safety.

Geneviève

Two teenage girls go to winter carnival in Quebec City for the first time. Their ambiguous, tentative relation with a young boy brings both of them the sweet intensity and disillusionment of first love.

Shimmer

The solo actor in Shimmer tells the story by becoming each character in turn. The play takes place in 1956, in a harsh Midwestern juvenile detention center, where two boys befriend each other.
