Free Party: A Folk History

The film follows the inception of the movement, a meeting between ravers and the new age travellers during Thatcher's last days in power, and the explosive years that followed, leading up the infamous Castlemorton free festival in 1992 - the largest ever illegal rave, which provoked the drastic change of the laws of trespass with the notorious introduction of the Criminal Justice Act in 1994.

COOCUYO

COOCUYO. To quote a Cuban comedian: “where does the Cocuyo hide its battery?”, just thanks to its peculiarity, Desiderio uses this cockroach as a perfect metaphor to describe his protagonists: with their green lights during the night and virtually impossible to find during the day. In his movie, he tries to find the battery of the Cocuyo living and looking for the “day-time” part, creating a path made by portraits and with an anti-narrative style. Carl Cox: One man, a few friends & 10,000 party people! UDC, known for Dance Valley, Impulz, HQ,Concept and 4 Elements, proudly presents Carl Cox & Friends where the big man play a six-hour set alongside friends in the Ahoy, Rotterdam. The entire party centres around Carl and he will announce who his DJ friends are that will be lining-up alongside him. On the subject, Carl said: There is nothing better than sharing good music with friends. When we decided to do this event, I really wanted to make it something personal, and also share it with my friends. What you will experience on this evening is something never done before. The show has been designed from the bottom up, costs have been thrown out of the window and the priorities - sound, production, lighting, and of course music - have taken centre stage!

Beginning in the late 80's in Melbourne's underground dance music party scene, a revolutionary freestyle dance began to grow and has now developed into the most unique and robust underground dance style since the birth of Breakdancing. The Melbourne Shuffle has no set steps but encourages individuality and imagination, incorporating dance moves from numerous styles such as miming, popping & locking, liquid and breaking.

Jungle Mania

This work by indie filmmaker Ikon documents 20 Years of Jungle Mania, a rave held on 6 April 2013 at the Coronet Theatre in London. The event celebrated and commemorated 20 years of drum and bass music in London dance culture. In addition to coverage of the live performances and the crowd, the film features interviews with reknowned drum and bass DJs and producers who performed that night.

AquaBurn

AquaBurn is an award-winning documentary film by director Bill Breithaupt showcasing "The Floating World" theme of the 2002 Burning Man Festival. AquaBurn features many of the incredible Burning Man art installations, the imagination and originality that went into their creation, and the artists who conceived them. Unlike conventional documentaries on the Burning Man Festival, AquaBurn captures the true feeling and excitement of the event itself, transporting the viewer to a hot, dusty wonderland without ever leaving home.
