First Descent

First Descent is a 2005 documentary film about snowboarding and its beginning in the 1980s. The snowboarders featured in this movie (Shawn Farmer, Nick Perata, Terje Haakonsen, Hannah Teter and Shaun White with guest appearances from Travis Rice) represent three generations of snowboarders and the progress this young sport has made over the past two decades. Most of the movie was shot in Alaska.

That's It, That's All

Brain Dead And Having A Heart Attack

Think Thank's most mind numbing, heart stopping freestyle snowboard video ever! Brain Dead Heart Attack marked a decade of snowboard videos for Think Thank, which was always one of the goals when it started. The concept was that the Brain Dead side would feature the dudes who have been around awhile at least in Think Thank videos, some of whom were quite literally brain dead. Heart Attack side would be the launch pad precursor for the new faces who would go on to film for Think Thank Almanac. We were moving out of the brain and into the heart; the heart of a new era of Think Thank, a crew of friends snowboarding together and filming each other, much like how it started 10 years ago.

In Motion

Often labeled as a contest kid, McMorris smashes the mould with the film In Motion, as he pushes his riding beyond the confines of the competitive arena and into the fresh powder and big lines of the backcountry. Between the contest podiums and champagne showers, he makes detours to explore the freedom of big-mountain riding and learn first-hand from some the sport’s best.

This year, Brad Kremer finds a new home at Mack Dawg Productions, bringing his trademark manic energy, humor, and flawless eye for shooting snowboarding action to Chulksmack. As you’d expect, Mack Dawg once again ‘ups the ante’ with some of this season’s burliest jumps, jibbing, street rails, and awe-inspiring tricks from the world’s top athletes. Nullarbor Dreaming

In 1988, Andrew Wight and his team went on to attempt a record cave dive in Pannikin Plains Cave on the Nullarbor Plain, where flash floods turned the expedition into a life-or-death adventure. This was captured on film by his support team, and eventually published as Nullarbor Dreaming. This short film launched his career as an international film-maker and culminated in him becoming James Cameron's right-hand man on many 3D and other film projects. Only Ten Percent Is a Lie

The life and literature of Mato Grosso do Sul poet Manoel de Barros. Alternating sequences of interviews with the poet, verses from his poetry, and statements of connoisseurs of his literature, the film portrays a revealing panel of the author's language. Manoel de Barros, age 91, with some 20 books published, lives in Campo Grande. Acknowledged, the winner of several literary prizes, he is the Brazilian writer who accounts for the greatest sale in poetry in Brazil.
